ecoloc is a registered trademark under the Swiss Trademark Protection Act. Trademark law gives the owner the exclusive right to use the mark to designate the goods or services for which it is claimed and to dispose of it. This exclusive right gives the owner, on the one hand, a power of disposal similar to ownership and, on the other hand, the right to take action against identical or confusingly similar signs of third parties. A prerequisite for such action, however, is that the defended sign is also effectively used on the market.
